Check out our latest Video Slideshow, Skull half tank, step by step.
This Tank was created as a promotional item for one of our display stands located at a local motorbike shop.
I wanted to render a realistic looking skull and then engulf it in flames, I chose the blue fire as something different and it always looks effective on a black base.
This video slideshow, gives you a basic understanding on how the steps were completed in order to create this particular artwork, feel free to put your own spin on it by experimenting with different skulls and or colours.

Checking out the Australian Motorcycle Expo
Going to check out all the crazy bikes and choppers @ the Australian Motorcycle Expo today at Jeff's shed.
We just returned from visiting SEMA show in Las Vegas and checking out some cars and bikes in New York, so visiting this show will be great.
Hopefully we will see some great new ideas and plenty of airbrushed bikes.
Airbrush Asylum is interested in having our own trade stand at the show when it returns in 2014, so if all goes to plan we should be able to show off some insane examples of our airbrush work on a variety of our customers bikes.
We hope that everyone enjoys the show and until next time....keep paintin'

SEMA is over and we are now in New York
Airbrush Asylum has been busy doing some airbrushing at SEMA show in Vegas. We were lucky enough to meet some incredible artists and pioneers of our industry, including Craig Fraser, Ryan 'Ryno' Templeton, Mike Lavalee, Gearbox, Steve Driscoll even legendary custom painter Jon Kosmoski and too many more to name.
We were able to complete a custom aluminium panel at the House of Kolor booth, which was then auctioned off for charity.
We are now currently in New York exploring many sights that the city has to offer and also checking out lots of art related experiences and attractions.
We are looking forward to SEMA next year and will possibly check out LA before the show, hoping to visit Coast Airbrush and catch up with some of our airbrush friends in California.
Thanks for reading and until next time....keep paintin'

A new week full of Exciting Projects.
We have been flat out here @ Airbrush Asylum, our work load so far for 2012 has been immense working on some exciting Harley projects.
We are currently working on a Chain & Skull Harley theme, which incorporates 'Live Free' with a winged skull complete with metal Bar & Shield logos, breaking free from chains which were airbrushed around the entire bike and rendered in a mix of solid sections and transparent parts. This bike will soon be complete and should definitely feature in some magazines and get attention when doing the show circuit.
We will soon complete a custom 48 for one of our motorbike retail customers, this bike will be airbrushed with a skull and realistic flame theme, incorporating some burning Bar & Shield logos.
Apart from that we have completed some rendering on logos and some other private custom bikes which will appear soon on our website.
Feel free to visit us @ www.airbrushasylum.com.au to check out our latest work and stay tuned for new photos and videos.

World War Harley - Video.
After researching and planning this project for almost two years, the customer approached us to airbrush 10 murals on her bike. She wanted all of the murals to be rendered in B&W and over a pearl white basecoat.
The reference photos were all purchased from the Australian War Memorial and were replicated as close as possible.
This has been our most challenging project to date, lots and lots of hours were spent carefully rendering each mural, with certain areas done using a magnifying light to ensure that all subtle details were included.
The customer was overwhelmed with the end result and I’m sure that you will see this bike at many shows.
This bike is a reflection of what can be achieved with lots of dedication, planning and passion from the customer...Airbrush Asylum is glad to have been a part of this particular project, and hopes that the bike will continue to help everyone who sees it, to remember the diggers.
Lest we Forget....

Honda Tank : Ol 'School Wing logo
We were recently commissioned by Harley Heaven : Melbourne, to complete a Tank for Honda’s new bike which they are launching at this years Motorcycle Expo which is held @ Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre 26-28th November 2010.
Honda wanted to utilise their 1960’s classic winged logo, which we incorporated into the design. Although the bike is a new model, they wanted it to appear ‘old school’...So, with that in mind the decision was made to clear the Tank in Matt Clear.
